What Flooring Works Best for a Home Matchday Room?

I’m thinking about giving my home matchday viewing space a small makeover before the next run of United games. Nothing too fancy, but I’d like the room to feel more comfortable for watching matches with a few friends, especially when we have a full house for a big game.

One thing I’m considering is replacing the old flooring. Has anyone here renovated their own football viewing room, and what type of flooring did you go with? I’ve been looking at Engineered Wood Flooring because it seems like it could give the room a warmer, cleaner look without making it feel too formal.
